THE GREAT EVENTS OF CNF GITARAMA

The Gitarama province is the first to have implemented the organizational structures of women in 1997 and other provinces adopted as a reference.

On 8 th Mach 1997 ,the international day of women was cerebrated on National level at Gitarama . The theme of that year called upon Rwandan woman to do their best for reaching activities which bring about revenues in order to avoid the economic dependence. Thus ,on 4 th September 1997 ,the MIGEFASO directed the opening ceremonies of the first Fund of women "IKIGEGA CY'ABARI n'ABATEGARUGORI" which was supplied with 4,400,000frs in Nyamabuye commune

In 1996 the OSW (Organizational Structure of Women)created the idea of building the house of women called after Opening up and Auto Promotion of Women (OAPW) which is current Training and Auto Promotion of Women of Gitarama(TAPWG) with the following objectives:

The National council of women constitutes a forum conviviality in which the Rwanda women exchange their v9ews in order to resolve hand in hand their problems and participate also in the development of their country. In this way ,it has following attributions:

To collect through of Rwandan women without any exclusion ;

To frain Rwandan women to analyze ands to resolve hand in hand their problems ;

To encourage the Rwanda women to participate in the progress of development of their country ;

To sensitive the Rwandan women to patriotism and serve her country;

To improve the capacities of Rwandan woman in their actions ;

T o represent the Rwandan woman in governance of the country in order to participate in the Government's programs ;

To encourage Rwandan women to fight for the equality and complementarily between men and women ;

Since 2001, the women of all districts and Gitarama town have got the funds "ibigega by' abari n ‘ abategarugori" which give credits for productive activities and funds managefor this moment more 83,000,000frs .

The NCWC(national council of women ) in Gitarama province is going to open so for tele-center which will offer the following services:

The users are the public of Gitarama specifically the women in their individual activities ,in their created associations anywhere on the hills and member-associations of PROFEMMES
